أقام مهاجرون حواجز على الطريق الجانبي لميناء مدينة كاليه مرتين هذا الأسبوع ، بهدف إبطاء حركة الشاحنات ليتمكنوا من الصعود إليها خلسة بشكل أسهل والاختباء بها من أجل العبور إلى المملكة المتحدة.
خلال الأيام القليلة الماضية، حاول مهاجرون عرقلة حركة المرور على الطرق المؤدية إلى ميناء مدينة كاليه شمال فرنسا ، حيث تعبر الشاحنات النفق الأوروبي وصولاً إلى المملكة المتحدة.
وقالت السلطات إن المهاجرين وضعوا حواجز ليل الأربعاء الخميس 6 كانون الثاني/ يناير على أحد الطرق الفرعية ، من أجل إبطاء حركة الشاحنات المتجهة إلى بريطانيا ، ليتمكنوا من الصعود إليها واجتياز الحدود الفاصلة بين فرنسا والمملكة المتحدة.
وليل أول أمس الثلاثاء 4 كانون الثاني/ يناير ، وضع 30 مهاجراً جذوع أشجار وحاويات القمامة على الطريق الجانبي الذي يربط الطريقين السريعين A16 و A26 قرب ميناء كاليه ، حوالي الساعة الثالثة والنصف صباح أول أمس الثلاثا ء، وفقا لمحافظة با دو كاليه.
لكن لم يمض وقتاً طويلاً قبل أن تدخلت قوات الأمن ، وقالت المحافظة إن حركة المرور "لم تتعطل".

تلك ليست المرة الأولى التي يلجأ فيها المهاجرون إلى استخدام هذه الطريقة ، ففي شهر تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر الماضي ، حاول المهاجرون مرتين وضع حواجز مماثلة على الطريق الدائري نفسه.
وبحسب السلطات ، تكررت حركات مماثلة على الطرق المؤدية إلى ميناء كاليه لحوالي 80 مرة خلال العام 2020.
ويعيش المهاجرون في شمال فرنسا ظروفاً معيشية متدهورة ويقيمون في مخيمات غير رسمية على أطراف المدن بانتظار فرصة العبور إلى المملكة المتحدة.
وفي 24 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر الماضي ، توفي ما لا يقل عن 27 مهاجراً غرقاً في بحر المانش أثناء محاولتهم العبور إلى الضفة الأخرى على متن قارب صغير.
لكن طريقة الاختباء في الشاحنات تعرّض أيضاً المهاجرين لحوادث مميتة على الطرق السريعة.
ومنذ حوالي أسبوعين توفي شاب سوداني يبلغ من العمر 16 عاما بعدما دهسته شاحنة أثناء محاولته الفاشلة بالصعود إليها.
